The Hoover Institution (officially The Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace and formerly The Hoover Institute and Library on War, Revolution, and Peace [2]) is an American public policy think tank which promotes personal and economic liberty, free enterprise, and limited government.

Shelby Steele (born January 1, 1946) [1] is an American author, columnist, documentary film maker, and a Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. He specializes in the study of race relations, multiculturalism, and affirmative action.
He founded and directed the Hoover Institution Working Group on Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Prosperity, which ran from 2014 to 2019. [4] He codirects the Hoover Institution Working Group on the Foundations of Long-Run Prosperity. [5] Haber is among Stanford's most distinguished teachers.
