The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (Malay: Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz, Arabic: مسجد سلطان صلاح الدين عبدالعزيز) is the state mosque of Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in Shah Alam and is the country's largest mosque and also the second largest mosque in Southeast Asia by capacity. [1]
The most widespread holiday is the "Hari Kebangsaan" (National Day), otherwise known as "Hari Merdeka" (Independence Day) on 31 August commemorating the independence of the Federation of Malaya. This, as well as Labour Day (1 May), the King 's birthday (First Monday of June) and some other festivals are major national public holidays.

Salehuddin was born as Raja Lumu c. 1705, the second eldest son of the Bugis warrior, Daeng Chelak and his first wife, Encik Tomita. Raja Lumu took the title of the first Raja of Selangor in 1743 and held it until he then became the first Sultan of Selangor in 1766.
Following the successful establishment of the Ampang tin mines by Muhamad Shah, Sultan Abdul Samad used the tin ore to trade with the Straits Settlements.The mines in turn attracted even more Chinese miners [9] with the help of Raja Abdullah bin Raja Jaafar, one of his sons-in-law and Yap Ah Loy, a Chinese Kapitan.
