Lonnie Randolph Jr. (June 3, 1950 – October 19, 2024) was an American physician and civil rights activist who led the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in South Carolina, known as the South Carolina Conference of NAACP, for fourteen years.
Edward Hughes Randolph was born in Bossier Parish in 1858 to Edward G. Randolph and Mary E. Thompson. [3] He became the attorney for the Louisiana Railway and Navigation Company, Houston & Shreveport Railway and counsel for the Vicksburg, Shreveport and Pacific Railway as well as for Shreveport Traction Company.
