Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (IATA: ECP, ICAO: KECP, FAA LID: ECP) is a public airport 18 miles (29 km) northwest of Panama City, Florida, United States, [2] in Bay County. [2] The airport is owned by the Panama City-Bay County Airport & Industrial District, [ 2 ] and is north of Panama City Beach , near West Bay.
Panama City–Bay County International Airport (PFN) began as a private field owned by J.B. Atkinson, Jr., a citizen of Panama City. The facility had 292 acres (1.2 km 2) of land with grass landing strips. In 1932 Atkinson and his wife donated the property to the Panama City Chamber of Commerce so a city airport could be established.
Compared to the other communities north of Panama City, Alford is more developed and has more paved intersections, among them County Road 1656 (formerly State Road 276A). Three blocks later, the first of which includes the Alford Post Office, the concurrency with County Road 276 begins at the Park Avenue/Park Road intersection.
