Hathershaw (or, archaically, Hathershaw Moor) is an urban area of Oldham, in Greater Manchester, England.It occupies a hillside to the immediate south of Oldham town centre, and is bordered by the districts of Coppice and Fitton Hill to, respectively, the north-west and south-east.
The extension had one intermediate station, Oldham Central, located on the Oldham town centre side immediately beyond the second tunnel. Fitton Hill is a large housing estate in the town of Oldham in Greater Manchester, contiguous with Hathershaw and Bardsley.. Lying 2 miles south of Oldham town centre, the Fitton Hill estate was built during the 1950s and 1960s on previously undeveloped moorland with scattered hamlets and farmsteads.
It is east of Oldham town centre, and is close to the border of Lees. [1] In 2012, Clarksfield was found to have an even ratio of Pakistani to White ethnic individuals, unlike other areas within Oldham where one ethnicity was found to be more dominant than others. [2] In 2016, an ONS study found Oldham to be the most deprived area in England. [3]
