Sergio Leone (/ l i ˈ oʊ n i / lee-OH-nee, Italian: [ˈsɛrdʒo leˈoːne]; 3 January 1929 – 30 April 1989) was an Italian filmmaker, credited as the pioneer of the spaghetti Western genre.
