Orem is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States, in the northern part of the state. It is adjacent to Provo , Lindon , and Vineyard and is approximately 45 miles south of Salt Lake City . Orem is one of the principal cities of the Provo-Orem, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area , which includes all of Utah and Juab counties.
The temple is the first in the city of Orem, the sixth in Utah County, and the 28th in the state of Utah. On December 11, 2019, it was announced the temple would be built on a 15.39 acres (6.23 ha) site owned by the church. The site is south of Interstate 15's University Parkway exit on Geneva Road, near the Orem UTA Frontrunner station.
