Yes, I have the headphones *connected* to the computer, but without the app, I need to change the settings on the headphones, which I can't do without the app. All the answers on google explain how to connect to bluetooth on the computer, which is not my problem (and you'd have ot be some kind of retard not to figure that part out).

Got a pair of Sony wh-1000xm5 from the state to help with my audio sensitivity at work. I've tried them on my way to work and they work great, but I just can't get them to connect to my PC here. My PC doesn't have bluetooth, so it has to go through cable, but they just don't connect with the additional USB C>USB-cable I got.

For those who are wanting to have the customizable and EQ option for your sony headphones (WH1000XM4's for me), I found that Dolby access on windows PC (Available on the Microsoft store) is a great alternative for the best experience outside of the Sony headphones connect app which is available to PC users.
I read before you could use your phone's headphones connect via disable your phone's bluetooth, connect to your pc's bluetooth, then turn on the phone's bluetooth back and connect via the app, but this doesn't work anymore.
