The University of Jordan (Arabic: الجامعة الأردنية), often abbreviated UJ or JU, is a public university located in Amman, Jordan. Founded in 1962, [ 10 ] and it is the largest and oldest institution of higher education in Jordan .

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan (Arabic جامعة الزيتونة الأردنية), founded in 1993, is a private university located in Amman, Jordan. It is accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research .
