Doucette trained from 1987 to 1989 at Sheppard Air Force Base, Holloman AFB and Tyndall AFB. [1] After the completion of his training, he was assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base. During that time, he was deployed to serve in the Gulf War flying the F-15 Eagle.
Doucette led the amateur side Fighting Cancer to win the first edition of the American Flag Football League in 2018, being named the most valuable player of the final in which his team defeated a team of professional track and field athletes and NFL players 26–6.
