Street Fighter II V (Japanese: ストリートファイターII V, Hepburn: Sutorīto Faitā Tsū Bui) [a] is an anime series produced by Group TAC, loosely based on the 1994 fighting game Super Street Fighter II Turbo.
The first set, Street Fighter: Code of Honor, was released on April 13, 2003 and contains all the Season 1 episodes, while the second set, Street Fighter: Soul Powers, was released on May 13, 2003, and contains all the Season 2 episodes. Both of the DVD sets are now out of print.
There have been several Street Fighter anime adaptions, including: Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, a 1994 theatrical film; Street Fighter II: Return to Fujiwara, a 1995 Short film; Street Fighter II V, a 1995 television series; Street Fighter Alpha: The Animation, a 1999 OVA film; Street Fighter Alpha: Generations, a 2005 OVA film
The film was a critical and commercial success. Group TAC later produced another loose adaptation of the Street Fighter II game, the anime series Street Fighter II V. Though unrelated to the film, a handful of Animaze voice actors reprised their roles for their English dub of the series, produced after ADV Films's dub.
