Lake Fork Reservoir is a reservoir located in Wood, Rains, and Hopkins counties in the state of Texas, between the towns of Quitman, Alba, Emory, and Yantis, Texas. It was impounded by the Lake Fork Dam in 1980, and reached its normal pool surface elevation of 403.0 feet (122.8 m) above mean sea level [ 1 ] in 1985.

Lake Fork Creek is a 78.4-mile-long (126.2 km) [1] river in Hunt, Rains, and Wood counties in Texas.It is a major tributary of the Sabine River, and has as its major tributaries Dry Creek, Glade Creek, Caney Creek, Little Caney Creek, Rainwater Creek, and Birch Creek.
Paint Creek runs through Jones, Haskell, and Throckmorton counties, and is the main tributary of the Clear Fork Brazos River. Lake Stamford is formed where Paint Creek is impounded by Stamford Dam. The lake's primary inflow (and outflow) is Paint Creek. One mile past (east) of Stamford Dam is a site called Scott Crossing.
South Fork Estates is located in northern Jim Hogg County at (27.267222, -98.725038). [4] Texas State Highway 16 runs along the eastern edge of the community, leading north 3 miles (5 km) to Hebbronville, the county seat, and southwest 19 miles (31 km) to Randado.
Lewisville Lake is the second lake to impound the waters of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in this area. The W.E. Callahan Construction Company completed the Garza Dam in 1927 at a cost of $5 million, which created Lake Dallas. The dam was 10,890 feet (3,320 m) long with a 567-foot (173 m) long service spillway.
