The school began with students from kindergarten to sixth grade in 1981, adding grades 7–12 in 1983. PBS is now divided into three administrative units: Parkview Baptist Elementary School (K-4), Parkview Baptist Middle School (5-8), and Parkview Baptist High School (9-12). Grade 5 was moved to be part of the middle school in fall 2008.

Parkview graduated its first class in 1957. The following year, a new wing was constructed due to the large number students enrolling. In 1992, an auditorium was added to Parkview for its music and drama productions. In 2001, a new music room was finished and renovations to other classrooms were completed.

Park View, School District 70, is a K-8 one building school district located in Morton Grove, IL, just 15 miles north of Chicago. Established in 1897 with only 148 students, it currently services over 900 students with continued growth projected for the next few years.
