Dowagiac Woods Nature Sanctuary, commonly referred to as Dowagiac Woods, is a 384-acre (155 ha) woods located in Cass County, Michigan. It is maintained and preserved by the Michigan Nature Association , known as "MNA".
Indian Lake is a lake in Cass County in southwestern Michigan in the United States. It is approximately 5 mi (8.0 km) west of Dowagiac. It is a spring-fed lake. [2] [3] The lake was named for Indians who once settled there. [4] There are approximately 220 homes on the lake, of which a third are on leased land.

M-62 is an arc-shaped state trunkline highway in the southwestern part of the US state of Michigan. The highway runs from the Indiana state line north and west to M-140 in Eau Claire. In between, it serves the western Cass County communities of Dowagiac and Cassopolis. The highway was formed in the 1920s, originally as a north–south route.
M-51 angles parallel to the Dowagiac River and the Amtrak line as the highway crosses from Berrien County into Cass County. The landscape transitions to farmland along the river, and the highway turns to the east between Sumnerville and Pokagon. [4] [5] Past Pokagon, M-51 turns back northeasterly toward Dowagiac.
