Spring Mill Inn, located at Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell, was constructed in 1937-38 and opened to the public in 1939. The men of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) assisted with excavating and landscaping and built the road to the inn and an adjacent parking lot.

Spring Mill State Park Pioneer Village Web Camera. This live video is from the top of the gristmill in the Pioneer Village. Founded in 1814, the village contains 20 historic buildings to explore. The centerpiece is the 3-story limestone gristmill, built in 1817, that still grinds cornmeal today.
The Millstone Dining Room at Spring Mill Inn serves fresh home-style meals featuring Indiana favorites. The spacious dining room features homemade soups, entrees and breads such as cornbread made from stone ground corn from the grist mill in the Pioneer Village.
Spring Mill’s challenge is 10.8 miles long and encompasses all of the park’s trails. Hikers will see a National Natural Landmark, cave lookouts and a view of the Pioneer Village, and take a lake hike and a walk by Spring Mill Inn. The challenge can be completed within a day or spread out over a year.
