  2. Speeds and feeds - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speeds_and_feeds

Feed rate (also often styled as a solid compound, feedrate, or called simply feed) is the relative velocity at which the cutter is advanced along the workpiece; its vector is perpendicular to the vector of cutting speed. Feed rate units depend on the motion of the tool and workpiece; when the workpiece rotates (e.g., in turning and boring), the ...

  3. Electrospinning - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrospinning

A coaxial setup uses a dual-solution feed system which allows for the injection of one solution into another at the tip of the spinneret. The sheath fluid is believed to act as a carrier which draws in the inner fluid at the Taylor Cone of the electrospinning jet. [29] If the solutions are immiscible then a core shell structure is usually observed.

  4. DC injection braking - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_injection_braking

A DC injection brake system can be used as an alternative or addition to a friction brake system. DC injection brakes only require a small module located with the other motor switchgear and/or drivers, mounted in a remote and convenient location, whereas a friction brake must be mounted somewhere on the rotating system.

  5. Injection moulding - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Injection_moulding

Injection moulding (U.S. spelling: injection molding) is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting molten material into a mould, or mold. Injection moulding can be performed with a host of materials mainly including metals (for which the process is called die-casting ), glasses , elastomers , confections , and most commonly ...

  6. Lucas 14CUX - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_14CUX

Engine speed; Throttle position; Fuel temperature; Exhaust oxygen content (narrowband) Road speed; The intake air mass is measured with a "hot-wire" mass airflow sensor: drawn in by intake manifold vacuum, air moves past an electrically heated wire filament, and the degree to which the filament is cooled indicates the mass of the airstream.

  7. Talk:Speeds and feeds - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Speeds_and_feeds

Done -- feed rate, spindle speed and cutting speed have been moved to the cutting speed page. Spindle speed is derived from cutting speed and feed rate is mixed in with it, so cutting speed won the toss. it took a while to get my head around it but I think it's sorted now. Onto the next project, all going well of course.

  8. Electronic Diesel Control - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_Diesel_Control

The road speed function can be used to evaluate vehicle speed and possibly activate a speed limiter (Heavy Vehicles), or maintain or restore a set speed (cruise control). Further functions can include exhaust brake operation which, when activated, will result in the fuel pump rack position being set to zero delivery or idle.

  9. Kugelfischer - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kugelfischer

Kugelfischer injection (also called System Kugelfischer) is the name for a mechanical fuel injection (MFI) pump. It was produced by FAG Kugelfischer and later by Robert Bosch GmbH [ 1 ] Derived from diesel pumps from the early 1960s, the Kugelfischer system was a mechanical injection pump for performance vehicles.
