Remote Device Management (RDM) is an addition to the DMX512 control protocol for stage lighting equipment, introduced in 2006. DMX512 was developed in the late 1980s as a standard protocol for lighting consoles to communicate with dimmers, but has since been used for more complex applications, including the control of intelligent lighting fixtures.
The protocol can address 32768 DMX "universes", each of 512 channels, limited by bandwidth. The fixed addressing can be problematic in networks with other addressing requirements. [3] Revision Q of the protocol addressed this problem by adding 10.0.0.0/8 as an addressing scheme. For node discovery, broadcast packets are used.
In 1998 the ESTA began a revision process to develop the standard as an ANSI standard. The resulting revised standard, known officially as "Entertainment Technology—USITT DMX512-A—Asynchronous Serial Digital Data Transmission Standard for Controlling Lighting Equipment and Accessories", was approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in November 2004.

Data Mining Extensions (DMX) is a query language for data mining models supported by Microsoft's SQL Server Analysis Services product. [1] Like SQL, it supports a data definition language (DDL), data manipulation language (DML) and a data query language (DQL), all three with SQL-like syntax. Whereas SQL statements operate on relational tables ...

What is a Sam's Club Membership? Sam's Club is like Walmart's version of Costco. It's a membership-only warehouse club that sells top brands and bulk items at wholesale prices to its members.
Digital Serial Interface (DSI) is a protocol for the controlling of lighting in buildings (initially electrical ballasts). It was created in 1991 by Austrian company Tridonic and is based on Manchester-coded 8-bit protocol, data rate of 1200 baud, 1 start bit, 8 data bits (dimming value), 4 stop bits, and is the basis of the more sophisticated protocol Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI).
