May 28, 2010. #1. I had planned to go to Fleet Week in NYC today, thinking it would be a great photo-op. I was looking on Google Map to find a close parking garage. My eye caught B&H SuperStore a few blocks away. HA... I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone and visit the store to do a touchy-feely kind of thing with some of the equipment ...
The only advantage Adorama has is their customer rep who peruses TPF for issues people are having with them. HelenOster is her username. She is spot on for getting to the facts of a dispute. Last edited by a moderator: Jul 16, 2013.
Feb 28, 2016. #1. I know B&H Photo have been facing some discrimination issues for a while now but because B&H Photo has a $46 million federal contract and the United States has anti discrimination laws, the Department of Labor decided to file suit against B&H for hiring only Hispanic men into entry-level jobs in a Brooklyn warehouse and then ...

Photos OK to edit. Jan 13, 2010. #1. Hi, So I see a camera on KEH for 1/2 the price of B&H. Camera on KEH is bargaingrade. Camera on B&H is excellent. What am I getting / sacrificing? If bargain grade means getting a scratched up lens, it's not worth it, but a couple dings in the camera would be alright so long as no effect to image quality...

The aps-c K3ii body used, can be had in the $500 range, the newest version the k3miii will run you in the $1700 range. The medium format K1Mii body used will run in the $1700 range with the new body bumping $3k.
The "best" of the newer high-ISO cameras make an f/5.6 lens into what used to be an "f/1.4 lens", in a manner of speaking. Similarly, $5,000 spent on a 200 f/2 VR_Nikkor will make your D5100 into one heck of a better low-light imager. It's just easier to shoot well with a high-grade camera.
May 9, 2012. #5. I think the easiest-to-use, easiest-to-mix,easiest to store film developer for B&W films is Kodak HC-110, a thick, syrupy liquid that stores very well in its own bottle, and which can be mixed up right before film is developed, using a small measuring graduate and 1/4 oz of developer concentrate for a single-roll tank, and 1/2 ...
Website. www.blueyedmuffin.co.uk. Sep 7, 2005. #3. It depends on where you are. Here (England) it's not too much of a problem. You just need to buy and adaptor or a new plug for it as far as I know. Canon could get very bitchy and say that your warrantee isn't worth the paper it isn't written on though.
I tried purchasing from 42nd St. photo but quickly cancelled my order through my CC company when they started with the BS tactics listed above. I will never purchase from them and advocate any one who is looking at them as a "respected" dealer to quickly exit your fantasy and anyone looking to purchase from them or their ilk to faster-than ...
