A pasty (/ ˈ p æ s t i / [1]) or Cornish pasty is a British baked pastry, a variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, but has spread all over the British Isles, and elsewhere through the Cornish diaspora. [2] [3] It consists of a filling, typically meat and vegetables, baked in a folded and crimped shortcrust pastry circle.
The Hunt Bass Hatchery Caretaker's House was built in 1936 and is located in the Phoenix Zoo grounds at 455 N. Galvin Parkway. Following the Great Depression, Governor Hunt (Arizona's first elected governor) commissioned a bass fish hatchery to be established in the Papago Park of Arizona during 1932.
The Cornish Pasty Association is a British trade association, based in Cornwall, England. As of 2013 [update] the association included about 50 independent bakers of Cornish pasties .
