Morrison's Cafeterias was a chain of cafeteria-style restaurants, located in the Southeastern United States with a concentration of locations in Georgia and Florida. Generally found in shopping malls, Morrison's primary competition was Piccadilly Cafeterias. It was especially popular in Florida, with its high proportion of retirees.
Piccadilly filed again for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2012, as it was down to 41 locations. [5] [4] The company was purchased by Falcon Holdings, led by its former CEO Azam Malik, in 2014. [4] In 2018, the company resumed its expansion, opening its first Piccadilly To-Go location in Cordova, Tennessee.
Piccadilly opened in Baton Rouge in 1932 with one cafeteria and swelled to more than 270 dotting Gulf Coast states when the company gobbled up competitor Morrison’s Cafeterias in 1998.

In 1937, the initials K&W (for Knight and Wilson) were adopted and K&W Restaurant was established. [5] Allred later acquired a one-third interest in the K&W Restaurant. After operating the restaurant with his partners for a few years, Allred purchased their interests and became the sole owner of K&W Restaurant around the year 1941. [3]
