The National Defence Medical Centre (NDMC) was the national and largest hospital of the Canadian Forces in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It served the needs of the members of the military. Constructed in 1961, it was closed in the 1990s due to budget cutbacks in National Defence and Veterans' Affairs Canada.

[1] At its maximum extent, the neighbourhood has a population of 5,430 according to the Canada 2011 Census. [2] The neighbourhood includes much of the Rockcliffe Airport and the CFB Ottawa (North). The Faculty of Medicine (French: Faculté de médecine) at the University of Ottawa is a bilingual medical school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada [1] founded in 1945. [2] It is located at a campus centred on Roger-Guindon Hall in the east end of Ottawa and is attached to the Ottawa Hospital's General Campus.
