Nazarene Bible Quizzing (also known as "Youth Quizzing", "Teen Quizzing", or "Bible Quizzing Ministry") is a program for discipleship targeted to children aged 12–18 or in grades 6–12 in the United States or Canada. Some 5th graders are regularly allowed to participate, and 4th graders are allowed to participate in rare circumstances.
The film is a coming-of-age story of an Assemblies of God teen Bible Quizzer on her quest to win the 2008 National Bible Quiz Championship which took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin that year. The film premiered at the 2013 Slamdance Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary [ 8 ] and was picked up for distribution.
The team which answers correctly takes control of the game and is given a further four questions to answer. The subjects includes Maths, English, Science, History, Geography and News. There is also Test the Teacher , where the class' teacher answers pop-culture questions, and Pet Subjects , where the class chooses a subject to be questioned on.
The content is presented as a series of questions pertaining to the subject of the particular chapter of the books. Amid the questions, pictures and photographs, there are details from established comic strips and complete comic strips, occasionally with its dialogue adjusted to the chapter's theme.
Swingaround was lengthened to fill a 30-minute time slot from 26 April 1968, where it aired on Fridays at 4:30 p.m. until 7 June 1968. It moved to Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. for its second full season from 1 October 1968 to 24 June 1969. Its third and final season ran from 30 September 1969 to 30 June 1970, also in the Tuesday 4:30 p.m. time slot.
