Rachel Townsend [1] (née Phillips) is a journalist, news reporter and relief presenter for ITV news programme Granada Reports. [2] Up until mid-2008 she worked as a reporter and presenter for ITV news programme Calendar [3] but due to ITV regional news cutbacks she was relocated to Granada based in Manchester.
For much of its run, Granada Tonight placed a greater emphasis on non-news features and entertainment content, with its studio set consisting of sofas and armchairs. On 1 October 2001, the main evening programme reverted back to the Granada Reports brand, while short bulletins continued to air as Granada News.

Amy Welch (born 13 May 1985) is a journalist employed by ITN as a North of England Reporter for ITV News. [1] Previously she was a presenter and reporter for Granada Reports. [2] She is originally from Frodsham, Cheshire [3] and attended University of Central Lancashire and a new face of That's Lancashire from 8 June 2018.
While Coldwell was working for Granada Television in the 1970s, she met historian and broadcaster Michael Wood, then working at the BBC in Manchester. The pair went on to have a ten-year relationship. [2] Coldwell married presenter Tony Kerner in 1991 in Camden, London. [4] In 1992, she had a daughter, Dannie, from the marriage. [5]
Elaine was part of a team which won a BAFTA in 2007 for covering the impact of the Morecambe Bay cockling disaster for ITV Granada. [1] This, to date, is the only occasion where a BAFTA has gone to a regional news programme.
