Ubatuba is a Brazilian municipality, located on the northeast coast, in the state of São Paulo. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte . [ 3 ] The population is 92,819 [ 4 ] (2021 est.) in an area of 723.88 km 2 , [ 5 ] of which 83% is located in the Serra do Mar State Park .
The Ilha Anchieta State Park covers the Ilha Anchieta, an offshore island in the Atlantic Ocean in the municipality of Ubatuba, São Paulo. It is south of the town of Ubatuba, east of the city of São Paulo. [1] It has an area of 828 hectares (2,050 acres). [2] The park is part of the Bocaina Mosaic of conservation units. [3]
The Delta do Parnaíba Environmental Protection Area was created by federal decree on 28 August 1996 to protect the deltas of the Parnaíba, Timonha and Ubatuba Rivers, their fauna and flora and dune complex. [4] It is classed as IUCN protected area category V: protected landscape / seascape. [5]

BR-383 is a Brazilian federal highway that begins in Conselheiro Lafaiete, Minas Gerais and ends in Ubatuba, in the state of São Paulo. [2] [3] The highway also serves the municipalities of São João del Rei, São Lourenço and Itajubá in Minas Gerais and Campos do Jordão and Taubaté in São Paulo.
