One of the first announcers when the station went on the air on January 7, 1961, was a University of Dayton student named Clair Miller. Miller was also one of the first voices heard on Springfield's Christian station WEEC later that year, returning to WFCJ in May 1980 to serve as the station's General Manager for the next 30 years.
