The Saikis visit Kusuo's grandparents, of whom his grandfather Kumagoro is a classic tsundere (cold on the outside, warm on the inside). They go to a run-down amusement park where Kumagoro tries to bond with Kusuo. Kumagoro plots for them to stay longer, but when they come across a road black, Kusuo reveals to his grandparents that he is a psychic.
Kusuo and his "friends" search for a missing dog; Kusuo discovers the complexities of online gaming, then the world of adults as his father's stand-in. Kaido, Nendo, and Kusuo's mothers all meet up together at Kusuo's favorite restaurant. Each of the class members have to answer questions about their art pieces.

Noriyasu and his family go to visit his grandparents (who gave his Dad a job). But a picture from his Mom's past causes a fight between her and her folks. Noriyasu's attempts to stop the fighting ultimately lead him to wish for tickling aliens (the subject of a popular television show, "Space Ticklers") to come and tickle his family.
Hikaru visits the Haze Go Club, only to find out that Yuki left the club. Hikaru play simultaneous matches with the remaining members of the club. Yuki has been disappointed since Hikaru left to become an insei, glimpsing at him for daring to drop by. Yuki must battle his feelings and choose whether or not to rejoin the Go club.

Kumiko learns that Shin's father is going to withdraw him from Shirokin High and send him to a better school to fulfill his ambitions for his son. After some class members are arrested for trying to free Shin, Kumiko and Kyo-san rescue him, but Shin's father, the police commissioner, visits the Ooedo Clan and threatens to shut them down.
