You can screen for pattern in Finviz (I believe) But if I were you I’d screen myself through these. There ain’t much candidates for short squeeze. Look at the top 10, 20, 50 on a daily basis. You can display the stocks as thumbnails.
Is it the best one out there? I certainly love it, and the fact that its free. Are there any better ones (or arguably better or comparable ones) out there? What does the $24.95 monthly version of Finviz add (to the stock screener or anything else) - is it worth it?
The Finviz Technical Screener has "Volatility" but doesn't say which formula it uses to calculate it. The popup says it "Represents average high/low trading range." This isn't enough to tell me which "volatility model" they're using in this indicator filter.
Finviz however shows a different story. They show the recent consolidation lows to be around 26, and yesterday it opened at 26 as well so there is a very clear support line at 26. I don't understand how finviz quotes can be so far off. we're around over a dollar difference not a penny or two as one might expect.
