Dysart Schools is a school district in Maricopa County, Arizona.It has 24,000 pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students in the Northwest Phoenix Metropolitan area. The district encompasses 140 square miles (360 km 2), serving all of El Mirage, almost all of Surprise, parts of Glendale and Youngtown, and portions of unincorporated Maricopa County.

Sir Lionel and Lady Dysart had eleven children, five of whom survived to adulthood: Lionel Tollemache, 3rd Earl of Dysart, his eldest son, inherited the Earldom of Dysart on his mother's death in 1698. Elizabeth Tollemache (1659–1735) married Archibald Campbell, 1st Duke of Argyll.
The first municipal building in the town was a tolbooth tower erected in 1567. This does not appear to have been successful as it was demolished, just eight years later, in 1575, and replaced by the present three-stage tower, which was built in harled stone and erected slightly to the south of the original structure, in 1576.
