The school was founded in 1784 as Totteridge Park School in Hertfordshire. In 1865 it moved to Hendon and became Brent Bridge House school, and from 1874 to 1886, it move to Elstree and became Hillside School. The school is in the West Sussex village of Hassocks, and has a new maths block, a sports hall [2] and a generation three AstroTurf open air training pitch. [3] The sports hall and astroturf pitch are managed, on behalf of the school, by Freedom Leisure and are used by the local community after school hours.
