Wylie High School (commonly Wylie High School or WHS) is a public high school located in Wylie, Texas (United States) and classified as a 6A school by the UIL.It is part of the Wylie Independent School District which covers south central Collin County and includes portions of the communities of Sachse, St. Paul and Murphy along with Wylie.
In 2008, Wylie High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School. [2] In 2015, the school was rated " Met Standard " by the Texas Education Agency . [ 3 ] In 2017, the school reported an enrollment of 1,164, putting it 14 students above the number needed to realign to conference 5A.
A year later, enrollment stood at 1,550. In 1986, an intermediate campus opened on Hardwick Road (present-day Wylie Elementary School). A larger high school campus on Antilley Road opened in 1994 and the previous high school was converted into the district's junior high school. [5] Wylie schools celebrated the district's 100th anniversary in 2002.
