[11] Ricardo "Monkey" Morales used it as an office, and one drug dealer, Carlos Fernando Quesada, had a private table. [ 12 ]
The Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club is a historic U.S. hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. It is located at 3925 Collins Avenue. On October 5, 2005, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). [1] It was designed by architect Roy France. A 1956 addition was designed by Melvin Grossman. [2]
The hotel opened on February 15, 1963, as the sister hotel to the Doral Country Club on the mainland (now in Doral, Florida), where the Doral Open was played until 2006. The Doral Beach Hotel was long considered the most elegant and luxurious hotel in the area. It won several of the coveted Mobil Five Star awards. [4]
In September 1957, Miami real estate developer Vaughan Connelly bought the hotel for $2 million ($21.7 million in 2023). [2] He subsequently took out a mortgage on the property from the Teamsters Union , who foreclosed on the mortgage and acquired the property in 1960. [ 3 ]
