The youngest joke-writer ever for comedian Bob Hope, [1] Shadyac is widely known for writing and directing the comedy films Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, Patch Adams, and Bruce Almighty.
The film score was composed by Tyler Bates, his first score for a major motion picture. The title theme is a remix of Roy Budd's theme ("Carter Takes a Train") from the 1971 film.
