"Surfboard" is an instrumental song by Antônio Carlos Jobim. The song was composed by Jobim on Ipanema beach after buying a surfboard for his son. Initially released on his US album The Wonderful World of Antonio Carlos Jobim in 1965, [1] [2] the song was re-recorded by Jobim for the albums A Certain Mr. Jobim (1967) with Claus Ogerman and 1995's Antonio Brasileiro.
The music video for the song, directed by Jesse Peretz, was shot at Bayonne High School, with administration approval, and showed football players and cheerleaders, wearing the uniforms of the school, as well as the three members of the band, Matthew as a teacher, Daniel as a security guard, and Ira as the football coach. An accompanying music video was released on August 6, 2021, and directed by the band itself. It features the same rerecorded version as in the Rock Band 4 DLC.
