The Turkvision Song Contest 2020 (Turkish: Türkvizyon Şarkı Yarışması 2020) was the fourth edition of the Turkvision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, with performances filmed remotely, and organised by Turkish Music Box Television (TMB TV). The contest took place on 20 December 2020. [5]
A year later, the channel moved its headquarters to Istanbul, Turkey, and were at the same time starting its official broadcasts. Show TV extended its range of viewers by adding more channels like Show Max and Show Turk to its group. On 6 June 2013 the channel was reacquired by Ciner Media Group. [1]
In November 2020, the official Turkvision website posted that they hoped to stage the 2021 edition in Shusha, Azerbaijan. [6] This was confirmed in December 2020 by İslam Bağırov, the contest's general coordinator, though it was later revealed that the 2021 edition would be taking place in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
The channel was initially named Skytürk, from June 2002 until January 2012. On January 23, 2012, the name of the channel was changed to "Skytürk 360".
