Dirk Verbeuren (born 8 January 1975) is a Belgian musician and the current drummer of American thrash metal band Megadeth, amongst other projects.He previously was a member of the Swedish melodic death metal band Soilwork.
Megadeth recorded Last Rites, a three-song demo, in 1984, which featured drummer Lee Rauch and Ellefson. [2] Slayer guitarist Kerry King covered live dates at Ruthie's Inn and The Stone while a permanent replacement was sought. [1] Jazz fusion drummer Gar Samuelson would go on to join the band.

Nicholas Menza (July 23, 1964 – May 21, 2016) was an American musician who was the drummer of the thrash metal band Megadeth from 1989 to 1998. He recorded drums on four of Megadeth's albums: Rust in Peace (1990), Countdown to Extinction (1992), Youthanasia (1994), and Cryptic Writings (1997).
He began playing the drums at the age of 13. In 1993 he founded the power metal band Eidolon with his brother Glen.. While in rehearsal for "Blackmail the Universe Tour" in October 2004, six days before the first show, [1] Shawn replaced newly returned drummer Nick Menza in thrash metal band Megadeth, who, according to Mustaine, was unable to prepare for the physical demands of a full US tour.
Rauch's career began in 1983. Former Metallica lead guitarist Dave Mustaine formed Megadeth shortly after having been abruptly fired from Metallica for "his problems with drink, drugs, and aggression towards fellow bandmembers". [1] After Megadeth's "first drummer Dijon Carruthers departed the group in fall of 1983", Rauch was hired. [2]
Later on, the song was supposed to be featured in the film Saw, [33] but ultimately was not for undisclosed reasons. [34] This was later followed by the release of "Of Mice and Men". [26] Additionally, "Kick the Chair" was released as a free promotional download via Megadeth's website in May 2004, several months prior to the album's release.
