The Ren & Stimpy Show is an animated cartoon series that premiered on Nickelodeon on August 11, 1991, directly following the premieres of Doug and Rugrats, and it ran for five seasons until December 16, 1995, with the ninth and final episode of its Nick run, "A Scooter for Yaksmas".

Ren believes it to be a trap, where a dog would shred them into pieces; it turns out to be a baboon that does so. Ren runs over Stimpy while taking a look, with the prospector showing Ren his blue cheese earrings he hanged on his body's nooks and crannies, including his only tooth which is made of the mineral. Stimpy proceeds to set up shelter by making a buffalo they own eat grass, which makes its abdomen swell into shelter similar to an igloo .
"Ol' Blue Nose" is the first episode of the fifth season of The Ren & Stimpy Show. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on March 18, 1995. Initially produced for the four season, it is the first episode to be released in an artificial fifth season "commissioned" by Nickelodeon.
To Ren's astonishment, Stimpy wins the contest and the show's presenters actually showed up the deliver their promise. Consumed by greed, Ren attempts to pass off as Stimpy to claim the money, only for Stimpy to leave for Hollywood. Ren angrily watches him leaving, only to realize the errors of his ways and break down in tears.
Ren and Stimpy live in an upgraded mobile home.Ren's already fragile mental state had deteriorated significantly, making him senile and uncommunicative. He spends his days babbling gibberish and cherishing his collection, including his glass tables autographed by Desi Arnaz, Raymond Burr and Danny Thomas.
