Jefferson is a village in and the county seat of Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,226 at the 2020 census . [ 4 ] It is part of the Ashtabula micropolitan area , 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Cleveland .

Sep. 20—JEFFERSON — The Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners met with representatives of the Convention Facilities Authority on Tuesday to discuss the future of the CFA.
The school was co-located with the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 1985 to 1987. It stopped accepting new students after 1985, and merged with Annandale High School for the 1987–1988 school year. [2] No students from Jefferson or TJHSST graduated in 1988.
Ashtabula High School was a public high school that served the city of Ashtabula, Ohio from the mid-1800s [2] until it was closed in 2001 in order to merge with nearby Harbor High School under the name of Lakeside High School. The building then housed 10th-12th grades until the new Lakeside was completed in 2006.
