Arena Quarter (sometimes referred to as Arena Qtr) is a mixed city centre development with residential, retail and office developments in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is located in Leeds city centre and the area is best known for housing Leeds Arena. [1] In recent years, a number of developments have been built in Arena Quarter.
Hilton Leeds Arena known in early planning as the Portland Crescent Hotel was a planned £32 million, [2] 15 storey, four-star, 206-bedroom [3] Hilton hotel. Construction began in Leeds's Civic Quarter in late 2013, with the original projected opening date in 2015 (though this was pushed back into 2016). [ 4 ]

This historic hotel is a four-story, brick structure that was designed in the Italianate style. The original hotel was built in 1853, and was a three-story, brick, L-shaped structure with a steeply pitched gable roof. The building was later enlarged and modified in 1888, 1894, and 1924. [2] The building has been converted to apartments. [3]
The area's entertainment venues are Leeds Arena, are Leeds Academy, Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House. Millennium Square anchored by the civic hall was a flagship project to mark the year 2000.
