In 1968, the Modern Courts Amendment to the Ohio Constitution was adopted, establishing probate divisions of the courts of common pleas instead. In June 2004, Russell Mock was appointed to the Hamilton County Municipal Court by Ohio Governor Bob Taft. Mock assumed office on July 6, 2004.
