A 326 cubic inch High Output engine was available with 4-barrel carburation for Tempest and Lemans. The 326 HO produces 285 hp (213 kW). Ratings for the GTO version were increased to 335 hp (250 kW) in the four-barrel version and 360 hp (268 kW) with the Tri-Power option.
In 1968, a 320 hp (239 kW) HO option was offered in the Tempest and Firebird. The 1969 HO 350 HO was equipped with the 400 cu in (6.6 L)'s large valve heads (# 48's) and the 400 HO camshaft and rated at 330 hp (246 kW).
