Burrows went back to the Crossed universe for the anthology series Crossed: Badlands, illustrating two arcs written by Ennis and David Lapham and providing several covers. In 2017 he started working for Marvel Comics, penciling Max Bemis' run on Moon Knight and reuniting once again with Garth Ennis on the Punisher: Soviet mini-series. [5]
"Troubled Souls" is a British comic story. It was originally published in the adult-orientated anthology comic Crisis between 1 April and 16 September 1989. It was the first professional comics work for writer Garth Ennis, and was painted by John McCrea; the pair would go on to be regular collaborators.
After the success of "Troubled Souls", Garth Ennis and John McCrea were approached by Crisis editor Steve MacManus to make a follow-up. Ennis would later explain that they both wanted to take a look at "another side of life in Belfast", deliberately pushing the Troubles themselves into the background so they could "get into the dafter side of things".
