The SR class LN or Lord Nelson class is a type of 4-cylinder 4-6-0 steam locomotive designed for the Southern Railway by Richard Maunsell in 1926. They were intended for Continental boat trains between London (Victoria) and Dover harbour, but were also later used for express passenger work to the South-West of England.

Rigg’s first wife died on 15 October 1959. He married Kathleen Maisey Curtis on 2 December 1966. She was a retired mycologist, formerly at the Cawthron Institute, and elected first female Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand in 1936. [3] Kathleen died on 5 September 1994 in Nelson, aged 102. Theodore Rigg died on 22 October 1972.
The SR V class, more commonly known as the Schools class, is a class of steam locomotive designed by Richard Maunsell for the Southern Railway. The class was a cut down version of his Lord Nelson class but also incorporated components from Urie and Maunsell's LSWR/SR King Arthur class .
No. 6000 is the only one of the three preserved "King" class locomotives to retain its original-built full-height fittings. After closure of the Bulmer's Steam Centre in 1990, No. 6000 moved to the Swindon "Steam" Railway Museum. In 2008, it swapped places with No. 92220 Evening Star, and became resident at the National Railway Museum.
