The ceremonial county of Lancashire, which includes the unitary authorities of Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool, is divided into sixteen parliamentary constituencies - four borough constituencies and twelve county constituencies. In June 2008 the decision was made for Darwen to perform a reverse takeover on Optare under Jamesstan Investments. The Darwen name was dropped in favour of Optare's. [3]
