Hi, I'm looking for a straight drop kydex or synthetic paddle holster with a thumb operated retention mechanism and found the FOBUS Thumb Lever Holster. This holster fits all my requirements and it has an adjustable cant so I can customize that to my fancy.

I use to sell Fobus Holsters when they first hit the market. I noticed at some point Glock had slightly different molds for the pistols. I would take brand new Glock's and some fit the holster perfectly and some would snap in and take two people to get it out. This would be with the same models out of the same stock.
Started out with Fobus conventional holsters and gradually slid into Blackhawk and Galco leather OWB holsters. Use the Blawkhawk for a duty holster and depending on the carry gun prefer the leather holsters for CCW.
I had the same experience with my glock 20.The Fobus holsters for my xd and 1911 have tension adjustments for retention of the weapon. The one for Glocks lacks this feature! Never had a problem with the other holsters. The one for Glock is poorly designed.
I buy nice holsters for carry guns, but for guns that are just range toys Fobus holsters great and I can often get them $10 I personally wouldn’t carry a gun in one though. The amount of retention varies and changes over time and I don’t like paddle holsters. They typically don’t ride close to body and conceal wel, and Fobus is no exception.
I consider Fobus holsters to be good value for the money. The paddle version holds the gun closer to the body than some other holsters (for example, a Sidearmor OWB or an Uncle Mike's Kydex belt holster). If the holster is a bit tight, spread the trigger guard area with your thumbs to open it up a little.
Looking for a Fobus roto or paddle holster for a Glock 21 or 20 Gen 3/4. Prefer the roto but would be interested in a paddle style for a good price. Photos if you please and the age of the holster. I do have some trade stock. Thanks for looking
The holster itself looks like a standard Fobus Kydex holster with an arm extending from the top. The arm is the Push Button (Thumb lever) retention release device which has a large (Thumb print size) Rubber Pad mounted on the top that when pressed, retracts a plastic lip inside the holster that retains the guns trigger guard.
I've owned a few fobus holsters, they are all tight.First off you need a good belt and second,it takes a quick straight up draw, all of mine were like that, now I use a blade tech or one of the leather holsters i made.I won't use a fobus anymore after the utube video where a simple grab and yank broke the holster from the paddle.iF YOU WANT PLASTIC I'd stick with companies like iTac or blade tech ...
