Lot was very full with a 7 series and RR Discovery in premier. Plenty of standard fair, a few minivans, Mustangs, one Camaro. Also was a Ford Ranger, a 330i (that I was going to take initially) until they pulled up an X3. Decided to take the X3 since I like cars with local plates and could use the exrta room.

Posts: 5. Avis vs. Budget at LAX. I'll be renting a convertible at LAX in a few weeks. Avis is about 5% more expensive than Budget for the same car. My gut feeling tells me that it's worth paying more because Avis has better service. On the other hand, I know they share a common fleet and probably the same staff, so it might be illusory.

However, all of the rental car agenices I know of charge an additional fee for under 25.
