Centerville is a city in Reynolds County, Missouri, United States, situated along the West Fork of the Black River. The population was 167 at the 2020 census . [ 4 ] It is the county seat of Reynolds County.
It was also previously part of Washington County and part of Ste. Genevieve County. The Reynolds County Courthouse has burned twice. The first time was in December 1863 when the Confederate army burned it. A new courthouse was built in the fall of 1867 on the same foundation as the previous one. This courthouse was burned in late November 1871.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the Centerville CDP has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.6 km 2), all of it land. [2]
