Brooks County is a county in Texas, United States, and Falfurrias is its county seat. [1] Its population was 7,076, approximately 88% Latino per the 2020 census . [ 2 ] It is one of Texas's poorest counties.
It is located on County Road 125. [1] It was deemed notable as one of the last surviving antebellum buildings in rural Brooks County, and also "for its simple form, design, and craftsmanship, typical not only of rural churches but also of Primitive Baptist churches." Brooks County Courthouse is located in Falfurrias, in the U.S. state of Texas. The structure was designed by Alfred Giles in 1914 in the Classic revival style. Prior to the erection of the brick county courthouse, local government housed itself in rented space.
