The Albanian Volleyball League for women is a league competition featuring professional women volleyball clubs from Albania. It was founded in 1946 from the Albanian Federation of Volleyball, several days after the latter was formed. It is the top level volleyball league in Albania from its foundation.
The Albanian Volleyball Federation was found on 2 September 1945. In September 1949, the FSHV became a full-fledged member of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and a member of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). [1] Since October 2000 he is a member of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA).
