The Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation is a government agency of Nepal and one of five departments of the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation. [3] It is assigned with the responsibilities of conserving the wildlife of Nepal .
Khaptad National Park is a protected area in the Far-Western Region, Nepal that was established in 1984. Stretching over the four districts of Bajhang , Bajura , Achham and Doti it covers an area of 225 km 2 (87 sq mi) and ranges in elevation from 1,400 m (4,600 ft) to 3,300 m (10,800 ft).

The protected area ranges in elevation from 2,130 to 6,885 m (6,988 to 22,589 ft).
Shuklaphanta National Park is a national park in the Terai of the Far-Western Region, Nepal, covering 305 km 2 (118 sq mi) of open grasslands, forests, riverbeds and wetlands at an elevation of 174 to 1,386 m (571 to 4,547 ft). It is bounded by the Mahakali river in the west and south.

Langtang National Park is a national park in north-central Nepal. It was established in 1976 as Nepal's first Himalayan national park and the country's fourth protected area. It covers an area of 1,710 km 2 (660 sq mi) in the Nuwakot , Rasuwa and Sindhulpalchok Districts of the central Himalayan region.
