The Records of the Three Kingdoms is a Chinese official history written by Chen Shou in the late 3rd century CE, covering the end of the Han dynasty (c. 184 – 220 CE) and the subsequent Three Kingdoms period (220–280 CE).

Guan Zhong, a descendant of either Shu Xian of Guan [5] or King Mu of Zhou, [6] was born in Yingshang, and became acquainted with Bao Shuya at an early age, when they became business partners. The Shiji records that, as partner, Guan Zhong often took more than his share of the profits, in effect cheating Bao Shuya.

The title is pronounced as K.O.-san-guo. It is the third installment of the Zhong Ji series; preceded by KO One and The X-Family. This series is a spoof of the 14th century Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong. The series started filming on 24 December 2008 and wrapped on 21 January 2010.
